Manual for Using a Cryptocurrency Calculator

Calculating cryptocurrency conversions manually is not reasonable. You waste a lot of time and subject your results to human error. What’s more, it’ll be difficult to make adjustments to your equations in real-time. With a cryptocurrency calculator, however, everything falls into place perfectly. You can simply calculate the value of your preferred coin to see how it competes against others or convert it immediately.

How do you use a cryptocurrency calculator? It is always fairly straightforward. For this guide, we are going to use Godex.io. It is a comprehensive crypto calculator and converter that guarantees users competitive fixed rates, fast transaction speeds, anonymity, and service reliability 24/7.

  1. Choosing the Currency Pair

The main page of the Godex.io website will have two fields. One says “You Send,” and the other is labeled “You Get”. There is also a button that says “Exchange”.

You can select the coins that you want to convert on this page. There is a drop-down arrow conveniently located on the right side of each field. Clicking it, you launch a menu with hundreds of coins to choose from. If you don’t want to do the scrolling, type in the ticker of a crypto asset or its name. Be sure to select something on both the “You Send” and “You Get” spaces.

Another helpful feature here is the pair of circular arrows located between the two fields. Clicking the arrows interchanges the coin entries. You don’t have to begin the process all over again.

Next, you enter the number of coins you want to convert in the “You Send” box. You will notice that the value under “You Get” automatically updates. This is the real-time value of the coin you will receive if you go on with the conversion right away. The rate will get fixed, hence it won’t change by the time the transaction completes.

Alternatively, you could also enter the number of coins you wish to receive on the right side. The left side will automatically update the number of cryptos you have to send.

  1. Add your Wallet Address

Go on to click the exchange button, and another entry field will appear, prompting you to fill in your wallet address. If you don’t have a wallet for the coins you will be receiving, consider visiting their official site and signing up for one.

After you enter the wallet address where you will receive your converted coins, the cryptocurrency conversion calculator will generate a deposit address for you. It will also provide you with a QR code that you can use. Let’s say you are converting 0.01 BTC to XRP. The address you get is where you have to deposit your 0.01 BTC.

  1. Waiting for Deposit

After you send the crypto to the unique deposit address generated by Godex.io, you only have to wait for the platform to receive it. The exchange process begins immediately after the amount is received.

  1. Exchanging

During the exchange, Godex does all the heavy lifting. The process takes about 5-30 minutes. However, this depends on the number and type of coins you are swapping. The higher the number, the longer the waiting time may be. Also, some coins are faster to convert than others. For instance, Litecoin (LTC) has a shorter block generation time than Bitcoin.

  1. Completed

You will see the confirmation and details of the results from the “completed” page once the transaction is finalized.

Moreover, in the meantime, you will see the stage that your transaction has reached on the right side of the website.

Details:

  • Waiting for deposit
  • Confirmation
  • Exchanging
  • Completed

A green tick will appear on each stage that is finished. Remember, you only have to fill in the details on the calculator and make the deposit. Everything else happens automatically.
